MR5200 -100NAS Slow/no date output

Hello all I have a MR5200 that is less than six months old and out of the blue it quit outputting data. I am using a sim that is not IMEI locked so I can take the sim out and put it in another device and it works as expected.

 

The MR5200 in question is showing connected to the cell network with get signal and metrics as expected but only outputting between 50-100Kbps if anything at all, all internal settings are what they should be and nothing has changed for that either.

 

Not sure if I have some hardware that is going bad in this unit but this particular unit came from the batch that came off backorder just before the newer MR6000 series was released.

 

I have tried to open a support ticket with Netgear but the page will not load. What is the typical warranty on a unit like this. Can this be RMA?

  • Any reps from Netgear care to chime in. I have tried multiple other provider sims other the last week and ruling out any type of network issues.

     

    I essentially have a multi hundred dollar paper weight currently. Again this release came out after the long back order of these started shipping out this fall just before the release of the 6000 series.

      Could you please confirm what carrier SIM you are using and what's plan on it?

       

      As we know, T-Mobile cellphone plan will be throttled when you use it on mobile hotspot type of device. Not sure you are seeing the same issue.
