MR5200 M5

Just bought this model , have a EE 5G unlimited SIM , on set up it telling me I need to input the APN. Called EE they said I need to get this from NETGEAR - How do I go about this and is this right.

  • While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge. The MR5200 is not one of the standard routers covered here. It is a mobile modem/hotspot.

    You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

    Those things are very different from the standard Netgear routers covered in this section.

    In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

    Check for various troubleshooting tips.

    You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

    I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

  • Based on MR1100's settings, APN for EE could be following for MR5200 as well

     

    APN Name : EE UK (this can be any name)

    APN : everywhere

    PDP : IPV4

    PDP Roaming : IPV4

    Authentication : None
