MR6150 vs. MR6550 pre-purchase question
Issue: I plan to upgrade from my MR1100 and need assistance selecting from an MR6150 or an MR6550 . My objective is to increase the download and upload speeds.
Background info:
1. I use the Netgear 600045 MIMO antenna with my MR1100 and plan t continue to use this antenna with the new MIMO router.
2. I often use my MR1100 in rural/weak signal areas when my iPhone cannot connect to the cellular network.
3. I am inclined to stay away from the MR7400 because as far as iI can tell, there is no unlocked version available. I use the Netgear 6000451 MIMO antenna with my MR1100.
Question:
Is there any reason to purchase the MR6550 (with mmWave and Qualcom X65 cellular modem) as opposed to purchasing the MR6150 (without mmWave and with Qualcomm X62 cellular modem)?

the MR6550 will offer you faster speeds if your reception is great. so if you have great reception, and a matching data plan, mr6550 might be a better purchase vs mr6150.
