MR6450 crashes when SIM card is used

Hi,

I have an issue with my MR6450, it works fine when there is no sim card inserted but as soon as it boots with one in it crashes?

Firmware version: NTGX6_12_74.00

    That sounds like the modem/router itself is stable, but something related to SIM initialization or network registration is causing the crash.

    A few things worth checking:

    • Try a different SIM card (even from another carrier if possible) to rule out SIM compatibility or corruption
    • Make sure the SIM PIN is disabled before inserting it into the MR6450
    • Perform a factory reset and test again before restoring any settings
    • Check whether your firmware version (NTGX6_12_74.00) is the latest available, since some cellular stability issues are firmware-related
    • If the device crashes immediately after detecting the SIM, it could also point to carrier/APN negotiation problems or even a hardware fault with the modem section

    If you can, note whether it fully reboots, freezes, or powers off when the SIM is inserted that detail may help narrow it down further.
