NETGEAR LB1120-100NAS 4G LTE Modem

Does the LB1120 use data when idle? IOW, if the main router is working does the LB1120 maintain an active data stream and use data minutes or does it only use data minutes when it takes over as the primary internet connection?

    The LB1120 will only use data if the device is running It would only use data minutes if the LB1120 takes over the internet connection.
