Netgear M5 locked?
Hi. I just bought a Netgear M5 and stuck a Lebara sim in ( Vodafone.) All seemed good and did a firmware and software update. Now it won't connect and although the ARN settings are there and ticked...
I have this problem as well. It prompts to set up APN. Lebara is not listed so I manually add all the details. I press the save button and get the message 'New APN created' but hten it diverts to the main page requesting I set up an APN (i.e. I'm going around in circles). Went arond in this circle for far too long with no success.
I contacted Lebara who said their SIMs aren't supported for mobile hotspots. They suggested putting SIM in my phone and then transferring it back to the M5. I did this but it didn't pick up the settings, again prompting me to set up APN.
Please advice what carriers in Germany issue SIM cards that do work noting comments in the forum that Telekom is very slow in the M5.
I've just got the product so will return it if I can't easily get it to work for travelling around Europe. The advertising was for an easy set up so very disappointing.
