Netgear Mobile App blocked notifications
Hello everyone. I've been unable to find a solution to this issue. It's weird enough that Android has this app under System apps. But the OS will not allow notifications from the Mobile App ...
How is this MR6150 deployed? Page 12 of the User Manual recommends removing the battery when it is used in a fixed location:
And, if it is mobile, I would think it should be within reach.
Yeah, the missing notification options would make me suspect this is more than a normal Android permission issue. The fact that the toggle turns itself back off, and the app doesn’t even show the usual options in App Info, makes the app/OS compatibility angle seem pretty likely.
The 2024 last-update point is also worth considering. Hopefully someone with an MR6150 can confirm what Netgear currently recommends for Android 16, because using the web interface as a workaround isn’t really the same as having the app notifications working.
