Netgear MR1100 - power Constantly cycling off and on

Question

We have a router that has not been used for a while and it is needed urgently.

I thought the battery was dead as it turns on for a few seconds then turns off immediately and the cycle continues.

So i removed the battery and used an AC adapter. but same thing still happening.

All resources say to update the firmware, but it doesnt stay on for more then 2-3 seconds.

Is the thing just dead and i need to purchase a new one? It would be a couple years old.

1. try a different power supply. The battery might be dead and the power supply not putting out enough to charge it or boot up the device.&nbsp;
2. If something in the firmware/software is causing the boot loop, maybe a factory reset can help. Have you tried a hardware factory reset?&nbsp;
