Netgear Nighthawk M2 - MR2100 - Wifi has red circle X and battery not charging

Hi, I recently got the Netgear Nighthawk M2 and I havent used it in a month, when i tried opening it it doesnt emit a wifi signal and the wifi icon has a red x on it. i tried turning ssid on and off and wifi still wont work

 

Second Problem:

I tried charging it for a trip and the  unit would just heat up and not charge,

 

i hope somebody could help me with this problem for i dont want to waste any money buying an expensive product like this

    Can you do a factory reset to see whether the issue goes away? Did you buy it brand new?

      I have exactly the same problem. I got a brand new device and the wifi is not working from the beginning. Cable connection works fine. Any idea? Seems like this device is faulty.
