I'm having the same problem. When I try to update the firmware, it fails and tells me it will try again another time.
I've been trying to update for 2 weeks. I'm on 12.02.06.01 firmware for the Nighthawk M1 (rev 2 with band 14).
I bought this from eBay...it's an AT&T branded unit, and I'm using an AT&T sim. It works fine except for this issue.
If I can't get this rectified, I may consider returning it to the seller as defective within eBay's 30 day window.
The model per the sticker on the device is MR1100-2A1NAS.
Current firmware: NTG9X50C_12.02.06.01.
When I press the "Check for Updates" button in the Firmware Update area, it pops up an alert window that says:
Update Error:
An update error occurred
And then the firmware update web page updates to say:
The session could not be completed and the device will automatically retry the check for an available update.
Thanks for looking into it. It would be great for the firmware to update to get the extra band and any future security patches. I tried doing a factory reset and then update and that also failed in the same way.
Is the firmware update URL that firmware 12.02.06.01 is checking for still live?
