Nighthawk M1 connect to LAN (ethernet cable)

I am looking for a setup to use the M1 mobile router as a backup of my internet on my lan.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

It does look like that I can hook it up to my wifi network and make it function as a backup in that way. but not when I connect it to my network using the lan port.

I tried the 'IP passthrough' setting, but that doesn't work at all.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Try WiFi OR ETHERNET offloading feature and see whether that is what you need.

    Thanks

  • If you want to do this seamlessly, you want to look into routers with failover or load-balancing functionality.
