Can you plug a ethernet cable into it and change it back to Dual band .That is 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz profile?Failing that you may need to use a device with 5Ghz wifi to access it.If not you may have to push the factory reset button. Changing the wifi setting won't make any difference to your internet connection speed.
Also check your APN settings match your mobile provider to maximise speed.And if you are using the device from a fixed location you could try plugging an external antenna in for improved reception and speed
