Nighthawk M1 since new has defaulted back to amber Led.Laptop wont connect automatically to wifi

Are you running the M1 with the mains charger attached and the battery removed? I haven't had my M1 for very long and I've been using it as my main router at home, with an upgraded mains charger (Quick Charge 3.0 / 2.0 - capable of outputting 2.4A) in place of the supplied 2A charger, and with the battery removed. Prior to upgrading the charger, the M1 constantly rebooted when running it without the battery. It never goes into amber mode unless I power it down by holding in the power button for a few seconds. When I occasionally ran it on battery only, it never when into amber mode - the blue LED flashes instead.

What happens when you hold the power button in for a few seconds - does the LCD screen power up giving you details about the router? Can you see how fully charged the battery is?

I guess it's possible that your unit may need to be replaced.
