NightHawk M1 unresponsive
Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help me repair my rather expensive Nighthawk M1 shaped illuminated coaster.
It is powering up fine and telling me to connect via wifi however there is no wifi network found when I search for it.
When I connect via USB or ethernet also nothing from my PC to indicate that the NightHawk is connected.
I have tried a factory reset which seems to complete fine but still nothing.
It occasionally locks up but comes back after being power cycled.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Regards,
Rob.

can you please tell us when the problems started happening? how old is the device and what carrier are you using it with? how long have you been using it with that carrier until these issues started happening? when did you approximately purchase the device? what particular M1 model is it?

Hi,
Thx for the response.
I purchased the device in 2019.
I only use it occasionally when I am on holiday or my broadband goes down.
I was tryting to use the router in thethered mode via the USB port.
My router is the MR1100-100.
After loosing connectivity I performed a system reset to put it back to default settings in case it was something I had done.
The router seems to boot up and display all the correct info indicating the router requires configuring.
I have tried connecting to the router via wifi, ethernet, and USB.
It seems to boot fine and provides me the Wifi network name and code, but it is not detected by my phone or laptop.
My PC fails to obtain an IP via the Ethernet port when connected.
If I connect via the USB my PC bings to acknowledge the device is detected but nothing else seems to happen.
The router is unlocked so not tied to any carrier.

do you think your device might have actual connectivity issues with the carrier?
most of the time, is is an issue with the carrier settings or the carrier itself blocking sim cards from these devices. just a thought.at the very basic settings, when you have actual working connectivity with the carrier, the usb tether should work unless it was set as turned OFF. the mobile router should give you a local working IP. first test i would do after reset is try to reach the router admin page. usually 192.168.1.1 after a full factory reset. can your mobile router do that?
