nighthawk M1 wrong DNS for Guest network ?bug?
Hi,
I have the following lan setup for my router:
IP 172.102.4.1/24
DNS 172.102.4.253
DHCP enabled
When devices connect to 2.4 or 5 GHz WiFi they get the correct IP and DNS.
When devices connect to Guest network they receive a correct IP but a wrong DNS: They receive 172.102.4.1 and not the 172.102.4.253 as expected.
Is there a workaround to this?
BR,
Laurent.

Reads like a bug. What exact M1 model variant and firmware version in involved? However, it's possible that there is a DNS relay or proxy on the device. Does the .1 address not resolve DNS queries?
PS. Have requested moving your thread to the Mobile Routers, Hotspots & Modems community section Blanca_O should be able to carry this ahead.

Hi,
The model is MR1100-100, and the firmware is
Also find attached a backup of my config. It is a lab infra so there is no problem with sensitive data.
I made additional tests and I realize that there's a DHCP relay for non-Guest WiFi, but for Guest the router will distribute an address from its own DHCP table. Only thing is that the DNS distributed is wrong.
Let me know if you need something more,

Laurent.
