NightHawk M2 No Data or Wifi

hi community i have issues i have a nighthawk m2 telstra branded. it just stopped allowing wifi and mobile data after i reset it one day, once in maybe 30 boots it will work and if i dont turn it off its fine, i have a video link of its boot, the problem and its system info as well as the attached, i have reset it to factory

i cant find a firmware program for pc if someone has some firmware and can tell e how to load it i would be grateful

other symptoms :

it is slow to respond to touch inputs like back and home like its trying to connect to the mobile network and its freezing the menu, scrolling seems to work fine. the back and home buttons seem to work again after it has a pop up about the wifi being disabled

no matter how many times i enable the wifi or data it still wont ever turn on

you can see in the video it has a good 4g data signal

tried multiple sims cards still no joy

i have tried battery only boots and usb charger with no battery boots and still no change, also tried hard. soft and factory resets

i think a good firmware flash might fix me up but damned if i can find a flash file or loader

much love in advance

video link if it booting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp8FUq-MIoo

  • Does the computer see the USB or Ethernet connection of the router?
I had a similar case - at first the router stopped connecting to the cellular network, after a reboot, Wi-Fi also stopped working. I did a factory reset after which the wired interfaces also stopped working, but the menu still worked, after the second factory reset the router stopped loading. I don't know exactly what your case is but it looks like the router will die soon.
I have already seen several such cases on this forum and it seems that the M2 model is very unreliable. The worst thing is that access to the firmware was closed. Only a service center can try to help. Despite the fact that it would be possible to reflash the router yourself, because even if it does not boot, you can switch it to download mode to reflash it yourself.
I absolutely do not understand Netgear's firmware policy - after all, phone manufacturers freely post firmware, even though the OTA update also works.

Wondering if you had any luck with this? it seems I have exactly the same problem! Unsure what to do about it. I did manage to get the 4g to work through telstra by entering the APN data. However, it only seems to work every 20 or so boots. Also, wifi is disabled and I've tried all avenues - USB, Ethernet, via screen to enable and it just doesn't come on. There is no "Red Cross" or anything like that. Yes I've gone through the tethering settings and of course done a factory reset about 100 times. Does anyone have a fix? it's only 2 years old.
