Nighthawk M5 (MR5200) IPv6 WAN support
Hi Community,
Somehow this router type is not listed in the model section (MR5200).
Anyway, I purchased it ~10 days ago for use in a remote flat instead of DSL internet connection.
After having set it up, and everything seems to work fine (5G speed could be faster, only around 60Mbps here), I am not able to access my server at home, which relies on IPv6.
The SIM card in the mobile router is from the same provider as in my mobile phone, and from my mobile phone I can access the server, and can see that an IPv6 address is available in the mobile phone.
When using e.g. whatismyipaddress.com directly on the mobile phone, I can see that I have an IPv6 address, but on the computer connected to the M5 it is only an IPv4 address.
Also in the configuration section of the M5 I can see that IPv6 is empty.
The datasheet of M5 says that IPv6 is fully supported.
Is there any way to configure this or enforce the router to get or use IPv6?
Thanks in advance.
Could you please check your APN setting to make sure the IP Type is set to IPv4v6. The APN used may be automatically set to IPv4 only.
Thanks

Thanks John,
I found the location of this setting and changed it to IPv4v6. Now I have IPv6 :-)
