Nighthawk M6 PRO Wifi sleep mode from booting
When I boot up my M6 pro (MR6500 - 1TLAUS) wifi icon appears with "zzz" and no wifi network name appears although i have on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz and the wifi standby is set to never. Tried to do factory reset as well as reset by the hidden button without any result.

I am also trying to update or re-install the firmware but there is no option. Only option is for automatic update.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Have some tried to update firmware with any other way?
Any help at the moment would be appreciated as I cannot connect on the router with wifi but only by LAN cable

This is an ATT supplied/optimized device and thus ATT is responsible for the FW and Netgear does not release them for this model. From what I have gathered, ATT does not give out standalone FW for these devices and thus your only option is to get it when ATT pushes it over the air.

it takes time for the Wifi network to get ready after a bootup, so it is normal to see a "ZZZ" symbol on your wifi after a bootup. Give it a few minutes to initialize.

Thank you for your reply.
I have been waiting even for 6 hours without result. The wifi does not wake up.
Even after factory reset stays sleeping. I tried also to set internet options to Wifi + Cellular but still same.

can you do a screenshot of your wifi settings in the web UI?
- azbreak29910AspirantHas there been any resolution to this? I am having the exact same issue and cannot get the WiFi out of sleep mode. I cannot even access the web interface to verify the settings.

Sounds like you are locked out of the web GUI too. Do you have the correct password to get in?

Yes, I bought it brand new from Telstra Australia. I can connect to GUI with network cable. I have tried also cellular only but no success. Unfortunately Telstra has locked the GUI and I cannot manually update the firmware. I believe this would solve the problem.
