So, what was the "fix" that you implemented?

It was said previously in the thread, but ill say it again. Turn off the device. Hold the power while you plug it in. It should say something like "downloading software update" leave that on for a bit(in all three cases I did it when I was asleep). After a bit it will still say updating. Unplug it and plug it back in and it should work.

So, you telling me that you intentionally corrupt the software download and that fixes the problem? Wow. Another fine example of the issues that Netgear is having with their firmware updates. Makes me wonder just what firmware the device is using then if the firmware update is not allowed to complete.
- LilReAsoNJun 28, 2023GuideIf I'm being honest I don't think that mode does anything. It says that even without the sim. I think it is a safety boot mode thing. Like if you wanted to add custom firmware(but they don't have that on m6) so legit don't know:/. It is on the newest firmware 12.xx.xx.xx whatever it is.
- MsdauzatJul 02, 2023AspirantI had FirstNet send me another replacement. The agent said that they are still waiting on Netgear to figure out a solution, but that Netgear has "paused" pushing out updates for now. She said they have paused the update as of June 17 or 19. I can't remember the exact date she said.
Anyway, my replacement device has been working great so far. I have had it since Wednesday June 28.
