Hi, All,
We got an update from the team that a new firmware (v12.01.16.01) is available to address the constant reboot issue that was introduced in the previous firmware.
Applicable for MR6110 / MR6500 (AT&T SKU)
I. For devices experiencing a continuous reboot cycle, kindly enable Ethernet offloading to check for firmware updates on the Web UI. Please follow steps below:
1. Remove the SIM card and insert a sufficiently charged battery into the device.
2. Press and hold the power button on the top of the device for a few seconds to turn it on.
3. Connect the device to a computer using the USB-C to USB-A cable included in the box.
4. From your computer’s web browser, go to the Web User Interface (UI) of the device at http://attwifimanager. If this fails to load within a few minutes, try http://192.168.1.1. Enter your administrator Username and Password, then click SIGN IN.
5. From the Web UI dashboard, navigate to the SETTINGS tab > General > Internet > click Ethernet + Cellular and Apply.
6. Once the device has finished rebooting, begin physically setting up the Ethernet offloading to the device by determining an available access point to use. In your home, this access point is likely to be the router that you usually use to connect your other devices, such as cell phones and laptop computers, to the Internet.
7. Connect the device to the router using an ethernet (or LAN) cable. Plug in one end of the cable into one of the LAN ports of the router (usually not coloured distinctively and labelled numerically or “Ethernet” or “LAN”) and plug in the other end of the cable into the Ethernet port of the device.
8. On the Web UI, wait up to a few seconds and refresh the webpage to check that the device now has Internet connection via Ethernet.
9. Check for and install firmware updates, go to the SETTINGS tab > Administration > select Firmware Update and click the Check for Updates button.
* Note that you can check for updates only once every 24 hours.
10. The firmware update will start downloading and installing automatically. The firmware update is complete once the device has finished several rounds of rebooting.
II. As for units not affected, it can receive the updates over the air.
Kindly go ahead and update the firmware and let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Blanca

I removed the SIM card and configured the router for Wi-Fi offload. When I click on check for firmware update, it always reports update error, and the firmware does not update. How can I get past the update error?

Here are screenshots of what I am seeing when trying to update the firmware.

For FW upgrade OTA, you need to have active data connection or do Wifi or Ethernet offloading. Since it is ATT device, I think you need to have ATT SIM and connect to AT&T server first before offloading will work later. You also need to insert a SIM card to the device.
Thanks

JohnPeng you said on 2023-07-17 that we need to enable Ethernet offloading. @Blanca_O also said this on 2023-07-17.
