Nighthawk MR5100 router connectivity issue.
I just replaced my old HFC connection with a 5g one. And have got The Nighthawk MR1500. I am trying to replace my old modem with it, But no mater what i do i cannot get it to work or even get detected by the router. I have connected the nighthawk to my routers (asus ac-3200) WAN port via ethernet. I have tried puting it in ip passthrough and tried giving the ethernet mac address a static ip but nothing i do seems to make a difference. Is there any special setting i have to configure in the WAN setting page of my router?. I have only had experience with "dumb modems".
Sorry for the late reply. I have been moving house. Turns out i just had to factory reset it a bunch of times. I did it when i first encountered the issue but it did not seem to do anything.

Have you simply tried leaving the netgear in router mode and the asus in access point mode?
You might also get better help in the mobile router forum versus the standard router forum.

Glad you got it working!
You might mark it solved so others aren't trying to fix it and so others can know what fixed the issue for you
