I would like to add that I tried also an alternative: a Wireguard VPN on a Raspberry Pi connected to the same network (see my other post), with limited success. TL/DR: when I set the endpoint target as my private IP (10.xx.xx.xx), the VPN connects. But when I use the public IP or my DDNS domain (e.g. name.mynetgear.com provided by noip.com) as I should, it does not work. Maybe this finding points someone to the solution. I would be grateful!
By the way, I used the https://portchecker.co/ to see if the ports (12973 and 12974, as default) for VPN are open and they are closed, even though I have the VPN turned in the router settings. Could this be the source of the problem? Is it because I use the 4G cellular connection to internet in the router instead of wired?
