R7100LG mobile data consuming and traffic meter issues
Hi All,
I have a Nighthawk R7100LG and use it in a remote site for IPCAMs with a 4G Data SIM for internet connection. Its all good and works fine but I found the data usage is abnormal. When I check the "Traffic meters" and it shows me 850MB-2GB data consumed everyday even I already blocked all my IPCAMs/device in "Access control", the download and upload ratio around 50:50. I already updated the firmware to latest version V1.0.0.56_1.0.6.
The problem is, would Netgear router will perform some kind of background jobs that download and upload somethings? Or the Traffic meter is not accuracy or it is a bugs? Thank you.

Some updates: I connected the IP cameras to router (using WIFI only), and it only consumed very little 4G data (see the attachment 1), around 95K packets per day. But at the same time, the WAN has sent 6.6M packets, it consumed 1GB data (attachement 2). Also, I checked the router log and it say a few DoS attack is detected. But I think it should not be the reason for this problem, as I disabled the ping scan from internet, enabling Port Scan and DoS Protection (attachement 3), and I have not set any port forwards, so the router will not responses to any DoS attack, therefore it may consuming the Rx, but my problem contain both Tx and Rx side.
