Recently had a firmware update nighthawk M1, t 2!

Recently had a firmware update on my Nighthawk M1 and now instead of constant full bars I can only get 2! I also have a new symbol showing overheating, so it no longer charges. I have it connected to an external antenna which I've not had any problems with. How can I revert my M1 to a previous version? This has become unusable!
