SIM PIN locked on MR1000

I am changing the sim in my mr1000 and it says that the pin is locked. However the sim works perfectly well in my phone - what to do please?

    Welcome to NETGEAR Community!

     

    You can unlock the SIM. 


    1. From a computer or WiFi device that is connected to the MR1100, launch a web browser.
    2. Enter http://192.168.1.1.
    A login page displays
    3. Enter the administrator login password.
    4. Select SETTINGS > Network > SIM Security
    5. Enter the SIM PIN when prompted.
    6. Click the Apply button.

     

    If you did not add a PIN for the SIM, please contact Internet provider customer service for the PIN to unlock the SIM card.

      Thank you for your reply. I've tried this many times following the instructions bur I do not know the admin password or the sim pin where can I find these please

        Please do a factory reset. Then you can use the admin password printed on the product label to log in to the WebUI.

         

        For the SIM PIN, if you don't enable it, you can ask your carrier for the SIM PIN set for your SIM card.
