Stuck on firmware 12.01.16.01 on second-hand MR6500 (AT&T branded)

Tried factory reset, booting up w/o battery, triggering update from both the device menu and the web portal. Keep being told the firmware is up to date. AT&T sim card is active and data is working just fine. Please help - so frustrating.

    Same issue here with AT&T-branded MR6500. Factory reset and manual update attempts didn’t work for me either. It looks like AT&T is pushing firmware updates in batches, so even if the device says ‘up to date,’ it may still be waiting in the rollout queue. I’d suggest keeping the device powered on with active data for a few days and checking again, or contacting AT&T support to confirm if your IMEI is eligible for the latest firmware
