Using Nighthawk MR1100 with Remote Desktop Connection

Our business has three locations that stores it's ERP System on a remote server that uses RDC to connect to the remote server.

2 of our locations use the nighthawk MR1100 for internet access. Both of the lease locations are unable to connect to the remote server while connected to the wifi from the MR1100.

We open RDC, it attempts to connect for 5-10 seconds and then we get an error saying:

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons:

1) Remove access to the server is not enabled

2) The remote computer is turned off

3) The remote computer is not available

One of the locations has a secondary wifi from another business in that shared space. When we temporarily connect to the other wifi network, RDC connects to our remote server with no problem. When we swith back to the MR1100 we get the same error message again

Can you try connecting a host PC to ethernet port and doing RDC from a PC connecting via WiFi? It will help to rule out the possibility that the carrier network blocks the connection.

    Thanks

I’m not sure what you mean by host computer. The server that we login to via RDC is a company that we pay a subscription to and we have no access. They set up the RDC credentials and we just login from any computer that has RDC.
