Cannot change Port speed
Hi, I have a S3300 switch with a SPF+ port which is currently active but which is set to no auto-negotiation, 100 Mbps, Full-duplex. The device connected to that port is capable of a higher speed...

Whatever make and model of SFP module you are talking of, depending on age and vendor, not all modules are workable (and supported) on switches.

I know that the SPF module is good. If I plug it into the second SPF+ port on the same switch it works at 1 Gbps, auto-negotiate, without any problems.
However, I need to have both SPF+ port in use at 1 Gbps on this particular switch.
It's changing the port settings which are causing the issues.

Whtever, could be either the one SFP port being defect, or this specific probably configured to operate as stacking port insted to generic Ethernet mode?

The port is not set as a stacking port.
It was previously used for a device that would only run at 100 Mbps. That is why the port was configured that way originally.
Now I need to reset the port to auto-negotiate, but I'm unable to make any changes to the port configuration.
