Cannot enable PFC on any port on M4300-8x8F
Trying to enable PFC on some ports on our new M4300-8X8F switch, running firmware version 12.0.7.8 (latest).
Receive the following alert via web gui:
Have also tried via CLI and receive the following;
This command is not supported on the port x/x/x
According to the datasheet, PFC is supported.
I have tried on multiple ports, some of which have had no configuration applied to them out of the box. I've also tried it on active ports and inactive. I get the same errors each time.
Could anyone please help?
Cheers,
Ben

Hi ben_g
Thank you for your message -
We discovered an issue with PFC due to hardware support across the top of the line M4300 series switches.
We are in the process of updating our technical documentation and datasheet: only M4300-12X12F, M4300-24X, M4300-24X24F, M4300-48X and M4300-96X (XSM4324S, XSM4324CS, XSM4348S, XSM4348CS, XSM4396S ) are capable of Priority Flow Control (PFC). In summary, M4300 24-port 10G models and above are supporting PFC.
ben_g, please can you get back to me using Private Message? We will find a solution for you.

Does this mean if we deploy a QNAP TS-1677XU-RP that support iSER (iSCSI Extension for RDMA) that a M4300-12X12F will be able to run iSCSI iSER traffic?
I presume if this is a yes, all of the other units above the 12X12F will also be able to support iSER.
Also is there going to be a plan for supporting iSER on the 8X8F model? - we have about 18 of the 8X8F units in the wild for SMB iSCSI VMware deployments and would like to be able to use iSER in the future.
