M4350 spine configuration

I have two XSM4328FV switches that I want to setup as my spine switches in a configuration.  Why does Netgear suggest putting the switches in a stacked mode when other vendors does not stack their spine switches?

Why does Netgear suggest putting the switches in a stacked mode ...

Stracking does (in my opinion) only make some sense where features are required spanning beyond of the standalone switch, for example for LAGs with ports distrubuted over multiple switches.

In the eye that Netgear invested a lot into the development of the (free!) NETGEAR Engage Controller allwing to easily configure, manage, and operate multiple Netgear M4250, M4300, M4350, and M4500 switches through a free, audio-video (AV)-friendly, portable app for Windows and MacOS. Automatic switch detection, centralized profile repository, firmware upgrades, and more can now be realized across all NETGEAR switches on your AV network its even more difficult to undestand where the idea proposal for operating these devices in stacking mode should come from.

Can you please provide some links or references where Netgear does promote this idea?

    Regtards,

    -Kurt.
