M5300 and M4300 mixed stacking

    Hi sscheidegger

Thanks for using the M5300 switches, the ancestors of current M4300 switches. The transition notification can be found in the attachment.

Unfortunately, no it won't be possible to add an M4300 switch to an M4300 stack. Either you can start over a new M4300 stack, or just LAG to an external M4300 switch.

I don't know where you are located, but feel free to send me a Private Message here, with your contact details: I can ask the local NETGEAR Sales team and the local NETGEAR Sales Engineer to contact you, and find an acceptable upgrade path for starting a new M4300 stack and replace your M5300 models. M4300 line is great for mixed 1G and 10G stacking topologies, including line-rate spine & leaf architectures.

    Regards,
