XS724EM Restore Configuration Settings failure
I saved the config from our XS724EM switch, and updated the firmware to 1.0.2.5. Upon reboot, the switch config returned to factory default. I've just tried to restore the recent config that I saved, as well as one we made 4 years ago, and I'm getting a restore failed error.
What's going on? I don't have a printed copy of the config for this switch, so reconfiguring the switch manually is going to be a pain.

Somewhere, over the product life time and enhancements, I vaguely remember there was a firmware update requiring to set the password again, and it returned to the ubiquitous default "password". Much more likely you hit this, than a factory default was enforced.
Some possible special case: Under certain conditions, the backup config retrieved using the now obsolete Plus Utility was not compatible for the Web based upload on few models and/or Plus switch software builds.
