About GS308EP POE schedule
Hi, all
I just update my GS308EP firmware to 2.0.0.11. POE schedule is a great feature but I have
some thought.
- If start date and end date is not set, the schedule will not work. If I want schedule work every day until I changed my mind, these two date seems not necessary. Now I have to set it from now to the end of the year and I have to change these two dates to make schedule work next year.
- The schedule need two time range to work. I want some port power up at 6:00am and power off at 8:00pm. I have to set 6:00am to 12:am and 12:am to 8:00pm. The device will power off at 12:00am and the power up again. That is not very convenient.
Hope this feature will getting better. Thanks for great work.

Sorry, It is 2.0.0.11 not 2.0.0.1. I can not found a way to edit this topic.

I fixed that for you.

Yes, fully agree. These were the most common enhancement requests coming from my side during the beta phase of similar switches with the same newer Web UI.
Even more fun does come-up when working on a browser configured to non 12AM/PM clock, but the worldwide standard 24h clock. Big mess - some parts are shown in 12h clock with AM/PM, while other areas are shown on a 24h times...

Cant follow that one.
One one hand, Range 1 can be set to start 06:00 AM up to 08:00 PM - the slider can be moved to these start and end time, isn't it?
On the other hand, it's indeed impossible to set a schedule with an uptime over midnight - like 12:30 PM or 02:15 PM to 06:15 PM. At least not without going over two schedule ranges, including an off-on sequence at midnight. Not sure this is what in a bar, a restaurant or in some industrial environments can be used. Who ever is in charge, seems to work and think only from nine to five. 8-/
A little bit vague is what happens on Range 2, with the default 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
Sometimes or randomly - typically when using the mobile browser with the touch UI, the slider disappear when entering the PoE Schedule, appearing under the default positions with Range 1 Start and End on 00:00 AM (all to the left) and on Start and End on 12:00PM (all to the right).
Not overly "logical" is that the "On" time is shown in green, while the "Off" time is shown in white.
And since day one, the Login page is shown in Day or Bright mode, while after the login, the UI is shown in Dark mode. Either way, both use the similar CSS Style Sheet (plus some additional after the login). Can't find a way to dynamically change Bright Day vs. Dark Night view.
Everything reported a long time ago, while Netgear resp. the OEM continues to stick on what was apparently "designed" virtually years ago, when this new mobile touch Web UI was introduced.
Workable, yes with nice additions supporting a real Management VLAN and PoE Schedule - a very looooooong way towards a good product however.
