Hi CornellRPG,
You would need at least a Smart switch, the GS308T comes with the same number of ports than the GS308E and it includes features like Auto-Voice VLAN and Voice VLAN.
You can find the datasheet on the link below for all the specificications:

Before evaluating and going out for shopping: Do you have a network environment - read: a router supporting multiple VLANs and IP subnetworks - for this project? There is no technology magic in a switch supporting voice VLAN. All it can do is automatically assign a VLAN ID eg. based on the MAC (of the phone), probably some more or less useful priority bits.
Said this: What your phone requires is a port with a tagged VLAN for the voice traffic and IP subnet, and typically one untagged for the normal network (Internet/LAN) subnet. The fanciest managed switch wont help on the essential requirements here.

only thing i noticed its not working is the voice vlan to use lldp on my voip phone since the switch do not support that feature.- schumakuAug 11, 2023Guru - Experienced User
Nothing that stops you from configuring the port connecting the VoIP phone for the normal data for any IP Phone (untagged), and manually configure the intended VoIP VLAN tagged on the switch and the phone in a home lab environment. QOS marking is optional for prioritization on your router and the connecting infrastructure. just a nice to have.

this is what i want to do:
make my phone detect lets say vlan 30 automaticallty.
and then once i connect my pc behind the phone the computer will grab vlan 20.
right now i have my mikrotik router setup to provide native subnet 192.168.1.0/24 , vlan 10, 20 and 30
my port 1 on switch gs308 connected to router,
port 2,3,4 get native subnet 192.168.1./24
port 5 get vlan 10 172.16.10.1/24
port 6 get vlan 20 192.168.20.1/24
port 7 get vlan 30 10.30.30.1/24
all this ports get ip automatically by dhcp server
port 8 have all vlan, 10,20,30 and the native subnet
i cannot get my phone grab vlan 30 when connecting to port 8, because it needs voice vlan capable switch correct?
