Brightspeed Fiber to GS108E to Google Wifi Pro Mesh
Hi Friends,
I have Brightspeed Fiber and I am trying to skip the modem, and having a little bit of trouble. Here is my current setup. Everything is working, but I do get a double NAT.
Note: Brightspeed is using IPoE and VLAN tagging 201
<-- Fiber -->
ONT
<-- Eth Cable -->
Axon C4000 (Connects via IPoE and I see vlan201)
<-- Eth Cable -->
Google Wifi Pro Mesh
To rid my network of the Axon C4000, I purchased a GS108E Managed Switch so that I can use the following setup
<-- Fiber -->
ONT
<-- Eth Cable
to Port 1 of the GS108E -->
GS108E (VLAN ID 201 on Ports 1,2)
<-- Eth Cable
from Port 2 of the GS108E
to Google Wifi main node WAN -->
Google Wifi Pro Mesh
I was unable to get this to solution to work.
Obviously I am doing something wrong, and am thinking it is very simple.
Thanks so much for any advice you may have.

I'd ask the ISP if there is any PPPoE configurations needed to pass thru or maybe put on the Google Mesh Router.
Might try installing the Google mesh router connected to the Fiber ONT directly to see what happens there.
The ISP should be able to help you on this.

Hi, I spoke with Brightspeed, and they said there is no PPPoE config for their service, it uses IPoE. Also, no luck with plugging the Google Wifi Pro mesh direct to the ONT
