Cannot Discover Network Device (GS308E)
GS308E Switch - Purchased Jun-21, stored until 2 Jan-22 (First Used)
Windows10Pro PC (ALL Windows Firewalls Disabled)
Smart Control Centre App Downloaded and Installed on PC 2 Jan-21
The Switch is cable connected to the Router (circa 12mtr cable) (Port #1) (RJ45 - Cat6)
PCs and Printer cable connected to the switch (RJ45 - Cat5E)
Switch powered-up and working (PCs able to access internet)
On bootting Smart Control centre no Devices are displayed after several attempts. At top of the controller border I see a Message 'Curent Network Controller' and my PC IP (Note: Not in the main page of the controller).
I would like to access 'Setup' in the switch - Any suggestions most welcome.

have you tried using the browser for setup?
Starting on page 18 of the manual, it goes over that option.
- schumakuGuru - Experienced UserInstead of experimenting, stick with the Installation Guide https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/GS305E/GS305E_GS308E_IG_EN.pdf
Alternate approach is (after double checking your GS308E is really an E model as per the label on the bottom) to find the switch MAC address (also on the label attached) along with the IP address assigned by the router DHCP server. Naming depends on the router, "Attached Devices", "DHCP Table", "LAN Device List", ...
Also useful could be the Netgear Switch Discovery Tool https://www.netgear.com/support/product/netgear-switch-discovery-tool.aspx
The Smart Control Center - in fact EoL for a while, available mainly for legacy switch models and special operations) can be cumbersome due to the required packet driver installation. Avoid.- C0linsAspirant
Thank you for the replies to my cry for help... :)
I tried the Direct Connect to a laptop as my automatic first though, then I followed the instructions and connected the switch in the network, neither worked.
The switch is defo the 'E' variant
