Update: I have tried another password variation that did NOT contain special characters, and that one was accepted and saved to the device. The password has now been changed from the default password, but it seems there are restrictions on multiple special characters that the system will actually acceptable.

Hi,
just a 2025 update. i had the same issue, when i did a factory reset, you are meant to get the 'change password option' that only appears for me in Edge, it didn't appear in Chrome. so load the page up in Edge after a reset and you can then change the password with out the 'no such user : admin' error.

tiward This could be an oversight when the California required default password change was introduced.
Please be more specific on the current firmware version in place, also tell us a little bit more on the switch operational history.

latest firmware as of this message (.72 i think) and does not get used very often (backup switch) this is mor of an FYI in case anyone else comes up with the error "The Password cannot be updated. No such user admin."
