Connecting a MX510TXPP to GS710TUP with SFP+ Cable
I have a MX510TXPP managed switch, and a GS710TUP managed switch. I wanted to connect them with an SFP+ cable, so I purchased a 1m Direct Attach SFP+ Cable (AXC761-10000S). I connected the two units and it did not work. I've been trying to find solutions, and saw to look at the supported adapters at the end of the User Guide. The MX510TXPP lists the AXC761, but the GS710TUP does not. Is there a cable that has different adapters on the ends to connect these units, or can I buy separate plug in modules and a cable separately?

The SFP+ DAC can only be used to connect two SFP+ ports - 10G only. Different from copper, neither SFP/SFP+ ports nor fiber modules know anything like link speed negotiation.
The only option you have is looking for two lower cost 1G fiber modules, and a matching dual fiber cable with SC/PC connectors. Most SFP+ slots can accept SFP/1G modules for a 1G link.
Multi mode fiber pair (OM3/OM4 50/125µm or legacy OM1 62,5/125µm) w. SC/PC connectors and two AGM731F SFP-Transceiver 1000BASE-SX or compatible.
Single mode fiber pair (9/125µm) w. SC/PC connectors, and two AGM731F SFP-Transceiver 1000BASE-SX or compatible.
