Every Monday Morning Ethernet Goes Down
Every Monday morning, my ethernet goes out on all my PC's. The wifi remains but land lines are dead. So, my set up is Modem --> Router (Netgear RS500) -->Ethernet switch (Netgear GS105) --> Switch (L...
what modem did they install?
What linksys switch is it?
Does it matter if its only the linksys plugged in or just the netgear?
How is everything wired up?
Modem is
Spectrum E31U2V1 DOC SIS 3.1 Internet Cable Modem, Linksys router is se3008.
The setup goes from modem to router...from router (2 pc's connected directly to router) then a third out to netgear switch in the basement, then output from netgear switch to 1 pc and another output to linkysys router..from linksys router it feed two computers for the wife's business. I have just begun to isolate the switches but not on a Sunday night to see which one if any will cause the issue. I'll do that this week. In the meantime I was hoping to get an idea of what the issue may be if anyone knew?
Side note: If I unplug the ethernet lines from the router that feed the switches, the two computers connected to the router come online. So I know it's about the switches, just not sure what it is.

This doesn't make any sense. From what you've said and listed prior, you only have the 1 router. If that's disconnected, nothing should work. are you running 2x routers?
Modem feeds router. Out of the router there are 4 ethernet outputs. 2 go directly to PC's, 1 goes to the switch. So if I unplug the ethernet cable that feed the switch, and restart the router the two PC's connected to that router work just fine. The issue seems to be when I have the 1 output from the router feeding the switch. That's when nothing works. As soon as I remove the switch from the router, everything is a go.
