GS108E V2 vs V3

Hi,

as far as I know the difference between v2 and v3 is the web-interface for configuration.

But how can I tell if a switch is v2 or v3?

I may buy a used one and need to tell the non-tech-savvy seller how to determine the version.

Many thanks.

    This is correct.

A photo of the physical device, especially the labels of the device (backside, and/or the original color box with the labels attached) could give some insight.

Alternate, run the Warranty Check and input the device serial number.

Similar, I would imagine the Netgear Switch Discovery Tool run on the network with the switch connected, would show the version, too.

In my experience the label usually have something like v2, v3 or the model number GS108-200 GS108-300, or some variation of that. My GS716T v2 says V2H2 after the label.

As schumaku says, a photo of the label would help.
