GS108Ev3 port based VLAN cannot be deactivated

I wanted to use FritzBox mesh with repeaters using GS108Ev3 as switch. So I tried to deactivate VLAN at the Switch but I can't. It keeps port based VLAN activated and obiously this is the reason why it does not work with FritzBox mesh (others without VLAN works fine).

I even tried this
- I restarted the switch - didnt work

- I disconnected power - didn't work
- I reseted the original configuraiton via web configuration - didn't work
- I reseted via hardware reset button - didn't work
- I loaded the latest firmware - didnt work.

So, are there any other option? Or do I have to return the hardware because it is still garantee on it.

  • Firmware Update auf die Englische Version behebt den Fehler. Zurück auf Deutsch ist der Fehler wieder da. Es scheint einfach nur die Deutsche Firmware defekt zu sein.

Netgear plus switches offer the following VLAN configurations:

Basic 802.1Q-based VLAN: If you do not need custom tagging on a port, you
can use a basic 802.1Q-based VLAN. When you use a basic 802.1Q-based VLAN,
VLAN 1 is added to the switch and all ports are assigned as untagged members
of VLAN 1. You can then assign a port to a different VLAN in a range from 1 to
4093, but the port can belong to a single VLAN only.

Advanced 802.1Q-based VLAN: If you need custom tagging on a port, you
must use an advanced 802.1Q-based VLAN. When you use an advanced
802.1Q-based VLAN, VLAN 1 is added to the switch and all ports are untagged
members of VLAN 1, but you can tag or untag ports, remove ports from the VLAN,
assign ports to different VLANs in a range from 1 to 4093, and manage port
    PVIDs

There is no dumb VLAN-less-config. Advanced 802.1Q-based VLAN does the job if you need just one network - this makes up a config without port based VLAN as per your requirements.

Provide any references by AVM that such a config should not be workable please.

Denkbar. Aber ein, ich schlage vor den einfachen Modus zu deaktivieren. Rest identisch.
