GS108Tv3, disable SSDP broadcast on UDP port 1900
I just ainstalled a GS108Tv3 (fw "Software Version 7.0.4.8") and noticed that it is sending (floodding) SSDP broadcast on UDP port 1900. Two broadcasts every 4 seconds. I do not want nor need thi...
As per the 7.0.4.8 RN this was added (after loooong fights):
- Introduced an option to enable/disable switch discovery (SSDP/UPnP) protocol
Something like there, but not near to any switch:
System -> Management -> Switch Discovery .
PS. Be aware the devices don't chatter on thier own - you must have systems on your network doing some M-SEARCH multicasts on 239.255.255.250, the reply is sent to the requsting IP as a UDP unicast packet 8-) - so the noise is not caused by the device. And no broadcasts involved by the way, too.
Found it. An option was introduced in the very latest firmware 7.0.4.8.

The option is in System -> Management -> Switch Discovery -> UPnP / SSDP
