Today i checked trap logs after having some issues in the past days with dropped packets on my pc, trap logs from the switch doesnt show any issues since August 23rd but before this date which i posted initially is not shown at all. It is instead shown from 1st of January this year which is weird. When pinging from router i dont get dropped packet but pinging from pc upstairs connected via Switch to router i get transmit failed and random timeouts, never had this issue in the past either. I am starting to believe either we have rats in the house walls that might have chewed on tp cable (despite the cables lies inside another cable canal..) or something is up with the switch.. is factory reset maybe a good option???

Abit late reply,
Ive been factory resetting my switch and at first everything seemed fine, but now after running it for some time, the issues came back, id like to believe the problem lies on the switch end, instead of my AP.
One link that is delivering POE is going down regularly and i cant seem to understand why it does it.I cant seem to find any documents on how to downgrade the firmware since id like to try this because i didnt have these issues before upgrading firmware. any help pointing how to do this?

Hello Rbmrk
And welcome to the NETGEAR Community! 🙂
A packet capture may help identify the activities on one of the PoE ports for further investigation. You can mirror a port on the switch to capture packets, even if the PC is not directly connected to the monitored port. For guidance on configuring port mirroring, please refer to pages 372-374 in the link provided below.

Netgear Team- RbmrkJan 07, 2025AspirantHi Erwin,
I did not manage to solve my issue so I issued for a replacement unit instead. I got another model as a replacement which has been working excellent so far, no issues with links being disruptive. Thanks for all the replies and help in the thread though.
Best regards.
