I intend to retrieve the current config file from the switch
Suspected this. On this older Netgear switch Web UI you need to use the Upload (switch to computer) control.
Don't worry Semen_Petrov , us "young" networking people often hit this on the old UI design. It was aparently designed by a Professor in Physics. "Imagine you sit on that point in the switch and see things around you. ..." Took me a while to get this logic changed on the early implementatins of the new UI. And I'm approaching 60 years 8-).
