CLI User Manual for GS724Tv3?

Is there a CLI Reference available to download somewhere for the GS724T series of switches?

(great forum here BTW, very helpful so far!)

    It is easy to telnet to these switches. Just because there is no console port doesn't mean no CLI access...
  • I also wonder if the CLI reference for the 7200 series might apply?

  • When logged into the web interface of the GS724TS, goto "Maintenance" --> "Troubleshooting" --> "Remote Diagnostics" --> Click the "?" for HELP.

    "Enable - Enable the ability to create a Telnet session to the device."

    Tried telnet to port 23 but nothing. Have not nmapped it.

    HardWare=00.00.01
    BootVersion=1.0.1.5
    Software=V5.2.0.10
  • Do an nmap and you'll detect the open port in the upper range. - At least other smart switches down to the 8-Port models what I can tell. Look for "Netgear switch hidden CLI" and you should at least find 1 or 2 people who have found it.

    But beware: It seems there is a due cause why Netgear hinders us from using the CLI: It can crash the switch on certain commands. They are sold (and hopefully) test for Web-based administration but the CLI part may or may not work and is not tested.
  • Port 60,000 telnet switchTenFeetUp.MyNetwork 60000
