GS728TPP Switch
I have a Netgear GS728TPP switch getting data via fiber from another GS728TPP. The switch keeps freezing. There is no overpower warning. When I reset the fiber it comes back to life for awhile. Sometimes a day sometimes a couple of hours. We had changed the fiber connection but it did not help. I thought it was a bad switch so I replaced with the same. Does the same thing. It’s end of life even though it’s brand new. Can someone help? I did just change the port from port 25 to port 26 as the feed from switch 1 is on 26.

Really completely freezing or just blocking the ports eg. due to an STP loop? Checking the logs (both buffered [volatile] and Flash logs) and sometimes operating a syslog server capturing everything in a server log does often clear up things and provide insights..
