GS748Tv5 VLAN hosts can't communicate
GS748T v5 Software version: 6.3.1.47
I can't get any VLANs (except VLAN1) to allow communication between hosts on that same VLAN. I used this guide originally:
https://kb.netgear.com/31026/How-to-configure-a-VLAN-on-a-NETGEAR-managed-switch
I was able get the hosts to communicate when I followed this:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Managed-Switches/GS748T-v5-VLAN-problems/td-p/500289
Set PVID = 100 to ports 1-24 (untagged) for VLAN 100.
Set PVID = 200 to ports 25-46 (untagged) for VLAN 200.
Leave PVID = 1 to tagged port 48 for all VLANs
Can anyone tell me why I have to have VLAN 1 Membership set for other hosts in VLAN 47 to communicate with hosts/ports in that same VLAN 47? If I remove the "U" from VLAN 1 (while "U" is set for VLAN 47) for ports 46, 47 and 48, the hosts plugged into those ports can't communicate with each other.
Hosts on VLAN 47 are 172.16.47.0/24 and I just migrated to this GS748Tv5 from a Cisco switch with the same VLANs setup and working.
Screenshots of configuration that works, but why is VLAN 1 needed for 47?
I resolved my issue. I had neglected to update the Configured PVID in
Switching>VLAN>Advanced>Port PVID Configuration
Once I set these to the correct VLAN IDs, it fixed my issues (screenshot below).

Excellent, most "classic" mistake. 8-)
