How can acctivate Backup Port on XS748T
Hello,
How can we configure a Backup port for a port on the device? Basically what we want to accomplish is when a connection on a port is down the second one takes its place.
Thank you.
Hi Clausweb,
Welcome to the community! :)
I suggest you to set up LAG (Link Aggregation). One of the benefits of LAG is if ever one of the physical links in the LAG goes down, traffic is dynamically and transparently reassigned to one of the other physical links. To know more about LAG, kindly read the article below:
What are link aggregation and LACP and how can I use them in my network?
The XS748T is one of the Smart Managed Pro Switch models. Kindly read the article below that shows an example of implementing LAG:
How do I set up a LAG between a Smart Managed Pro Switch and a Synology NAS?
