How to set a port to 1GB on an XS728T
There you go, it's all in the title. Is it possible to set the speed of a port to 1GB on an XS728T, regardless of the speed of the device connected to the switch port? Thank you for your help.
Is it possible to set the speed of a port to 1GB on an XS728T, regardless of the speed of the device connected to the switch port?
No, because if IEEE mandates Auto-Link-Speed for any copper Ethernet of 1 Gb/s and up. Devices allowing fixing Ethernet link speed to 1000 Mb/s are not IEEE compliant.
