Hello, I would like to connect my two switches via a LAG (Link Aggregation) over two Cat.6 network cables. Netgear GS750E (Firmware 1.0.1.10) and Netgear GS308EPP (Firmware V1.0.1.1) My goal ...
The GS308EPP does only support static LAG, with a max of four ports by LAG. So yes, no other choice but configure the LAG on the GS750E to static, too.
As we face static LAGs, there is no common LAG indication the LAG is up (or down) the same way as on LACP LAGs.

What is the added value of a static LAG compared to no LAG?
Are both lines used in parallel in a static LAG?
Does this give me more bandwidth?
